1. Homeowner must complete a pre-application.
2. If homeowner is determined to qualify for ABWK after completing the pre-application, they will be invited to complete the full application.
Homeowner must be living in the home as their primary residence.
Homeowner must have homeowner insurance and be current with mortgage
payments &
property taxes.
Requested or needed home repairs are within Habitat for Humanity of West
Central Minnesota limits.
All able-bodied residents volunteer alongside other volunteers during their project.
Homeowners must not sell the home for three years after completion of the
project except for special or unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness).
Homeowners must be home during all times that there are volunteers on site.
Homeowner must have owned and lived in their home for at least the last 6
months.
Homeowner must be honest on the application, disclose all information during
the application process and sign a partnership agreement.
Homeowner must be willing to sign a repayment agreement for the cost of work
done on their home.
Homeowner's income must be at or below the HUD income guidelines outlined in the pre-application and application forms. |
